On 10 November 2025, a team of professors from the Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law in Skopje, comprising Prof. Aleksandar Stojkov, Prof. Aleksandra Maksimovska Stojkova, Prof. Jovan Zafiroski, and Prof. Elena Neshovska Kjoseva, paid an academic visit to University College London (UCL), United Kingdom. During the visit, they presented to UCL faculty members and early-career researchers the results achieved thus far within the research project "Innovative Scientific Solutions for Tackling Social Inequality and the Shadow Economy in the Republic of North Macedonia through Tax Regulation."
The purpose of this project activity was to exchange experiences and discuss international best practices for the formalization of the informal sector and the reduction of social inequality, to explore the most appropriate model that could be adapted to the Macedonian context, and to strengthen cooperation between the two academic institutions.
The research project "Innovative Scientific Solutions for Tackling Social Inequality and the Shadow Economy in the Republic of North Macedonia through Tax Regulation" is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia.
